Signed books by Jacques Vallée
I am lucky to have acquired several books signed by Jacques Vallée, the French computer scientist and ufologist who inspired the character of Claude Lacombe (played by François Truffaut) in Steven Spielberg’s Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977).
A signed first-edition hardcover copy of Vallée’s groundbreaking Passport to Magonia (1969):
The novel La mémoire de Markov (Mercure de France, 1985):
The novel Alintel (Mercure de France, 1986):
A signed first edition of Confrontations (Ballantine Books, 1990):
A signed copy of the first of several volumes of Vallée’s journals, Forbidden Science: Journals 1957-1969 (North Atlantic Books, 1992):
A special hardcover edition of Wonders in the Sky (Documatica Research, 2015), coauthored by Chris Aubeck, limited to 500 copies:
Jacques was also kind enough to inscribe my copies of Passport to Magonia, Dimensions, Confrontations, and Revelations:
“Watch the skies!”
